Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 and old enough to consent to online services where you live. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you.
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly tell us if you believe your account is compromised. You are responsible for activity through your account unless applicable law says otherwise. You may not sell, transfer, or impersonate another person's account.
The service
Pee Passport lets users save location-based stamps, create a travel record, choose sharing settings, optionally participate in a territory game, follow accounts, react to and comment on visible stamps and activity, and compare aggregate passport activity. Features may change, be unavailable, or contain errors. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service, subject to applicable law.
Map data, location estimates, place names, rankings, and GPS readings may be incomplete or inaccurate. Pee Passport is not a navigation, emergency, weather, medical, or safety service. Do not rely on it for route finding, rescue, property boundaries, or decisions where an error could cause harm.
Territories beta
A territory is a fixed digital game zone, not real-property ownership, a boundary survey, proof of presence, permission to enter, or a promise that the location is public or safe. Zones can cross roads, private property, closures, sensitive habitats, and other places you must not enter. Never change your route, stop in traffic, trespass, or take a risk to capture or defend one.
Territory captures are enabled by default for new accounts, remain optional, and can be disabled in Passport settings. Holder identity starts private. Pee Passport does not collect background location for Territories; eligible captures require a recent foreground GPS stamp with adequate reported accuracy. Manual, historical, stale, inaccurate, and offline stamps do not qualify. We may apply cooldowns, rate limits, exclusions, masking, reversals, or other safeguards. Browser GPS can be inaccurate or manipulated, so beta game state and counts carry no monetary value and are not guaranteed to be fair or permanent.
Your safety and responsibilities
- Obey laws, closures, permits, posted signs, and land-manager rules.
- Do not trespass, drive or hike while distracted, or enter dangerous areas to make a stamp.
- Respect wildlife, cultural resources, sensitive habitats, and Leave No Trace principles.
- Do not expose another person's live or sensitive location without their informed permission.
- Use visibility settings carefully; softened coordinates can still reveal a location from context.
- Treat every territory as game status only and remain on lawful, safe access routes.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit, including profile text, notes, stamps, and comments. You give Pee Passport a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical formatting, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service according to the applicable audience. A comment's audience is limited by both the parent content's current visibility and the audience in effect when the comment was posted. This license ends when the content is deleted, except where a limited copy must remain temporarily in backup systems or where law requires retention.
You promise that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit your content and that its use as described here does not violate law or another person's rights.
Prohibited conduct
You may not use Pee Passport to:
- Threaten, harass, stalk, exploit, discriminate against, or endanger anyone.
- Publish precise home, live, or sensitive location information about another person without permission.
- Post illegal, sexually exploitative, hateful, violent, fraudulent, or infringing content.
- Spam, scrape, reverse engineer, probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass security or access controls.
- Use bots or automated methods without written permission.
- Misrepresent identity, manipulate rankings, or encourage illegal access to land or facilities.
- Spoof location, automate captures, evade cooldowns, or manipulate territory game state.
Our Community Standards give more detail and are part of these Terms.
Moderation and enforcement
We may investigate reports and remove or limit content, features, or accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Standards, law, or the safety of users and the service. Enforcement can include warnings, visibility limits, suspension, or termination. We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or an appeal.
If you believe content or an account should be reviewed, use Support. Emergency or immediate danger should be reported to local emergency services, not Pee Passport.
Third-party services
Maps, geocoding, hosting, links, and other parts of the service may rely on third parties. Their services and content are governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not guarantee their availability, accuracy, or safety.
Ending your account
You can stop using Pee Passport at any time and can permanently delete your account at Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, legal requirements, security threats, or material risk to others or the service.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Pee Passport is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment. We do not promise that the service will always be accurate, secure, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Some places do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so those limits may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Pee Passport and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including rights you may have under consumer-protection law.
Changes, severability, and contact
We may update these Terms. We will post the new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continuing to use the service after updated Terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not, stop using the service and delete your account.
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. Questions can be sent through Support.
